Code of Conduct which includes the following;

It is likely that your club/ organisation will already be engaged in good practice.

However it is essential that everyone involved in your organisation knows what behaviour is acceptable and what is not. The first thing that any organisation/club needs to have in place are Guidelines of Good Practice, also known as a Code of Conduct.  This is the cornerstone of any good safeguarding policy.  Without a standard for coaches / parents / children to adhere to you are leaving your organisation vulnerable and open to challenge about behaviour or actions of individuals within your organisation/club.  Guidelines should include;

• Positive statements, statements relating to behaviours to be avoided and unacceptable behaviour for;

• Coaches and leaders

• Children and young people

• Parents and guardians

• Anti-Bullying guidelines

• Guidelines relating to physical contact
